Welcome to the
Spinifex Foundation South Australia

An Indigenous Led Fund for South Australia
Our Vision
A future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander South Australians are prosperous in all aspects of life, living healthier, longer and stronger with equal opportunity, while upholding cultural identity and community individuality for generations to come.
An Indigenous-led philanthropic foundation, the Spinifex Foundation SA was established to address the needs, aspirations, and challenges faced by all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in South Australia.
Amplifying positive change, our philanthropy is led by the very communities it seeks to uplift. Driven by the wisdom embedded in First Nations communities and culture, our foundation represents transformative power.

Our
Principles

Committed to Aboriginal ways of seeing, knowing, and doing, we proudly blend First Nations cultural knowledge with western governance principles. Our governance framework incorporates procedural compliance whilst maintaining respect for the diverse cultural groups we represent.

Culture First, in Everything we Do

For Community, by Community

Action Orientated and Evolutionary

Building and
Transferring Capability

“We value the input of the communities we serve and recognise their expertise in shaping our foundation, that’s why we are establishing feedback mechanisms that allow Community members to share their insights, concerns, and aspirations, ensuring a continuous and reciprocal dialogue”

Warren Miller,
CEO

We acknowledge that we live and work on many lands and acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands for millennia.

We commit to remembering that the ground beneath our feet is infused with wisdom, stories, and songs that reach beyond our knowing.

We are committed to collaboration that furthers self-determination and as we go forward we will continue to listen, learn, and work together for a healing future.
